Carol Dweck is one of the world’s leading researchers in the field of motivation, and professor of Psychology at Stanford University. Her research is focused on why people succeed and how to foster their succes. She has lectured all over the world, and has been elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Her work has inspired the creation of an organization called ‘Mindset Works,’ which is now the global leader in growth mindset training. The company’s mission is to enable a world in which people seek and are fulfilled by ongoing learning and growth. In her book ‘Mindset: The New Psychology of Succes’ she shows that people of have a so-called fixed mindset have fixed abilities and are less likely to flourish than those with a growth mindset’ – those who believe that abilities can be developed.
